סלומה פקיאל היא מעצבת ויזמית בתחומים שונים של עשייה. מדברת עברית, כותבת באנגלית וחולמת בצרפתית. ילידת צרפת, למדה אדריכלות פנים בפריז ועלתה לארץ לפני שלוש עשרה שנה.
היא הייתה שותפה בגלריה Space Design בתל אביב שקידמה אמנים ישראלים בארץ ובתערוכות בחו״ל. לאחר לידת שני ילדיה שינתה כיוון וכיום היא בעלת המותג המצוין לסנדלים בסגנון ים-תיכוני, מינימליסטי – Greek Sandals Official (קישור בהמשך). ביחד עם שותפתה סנדרה קדוש הן מעצבות, אוספות, מחברות, מייצרות ומטיילות הרבה כחלק מהעבודה על הפרויקט הזה.
סלומה מאמינה בשיתופי פעולה, בחופש יצירתי ובלמידה תוך כדי תנועה. היא הצטלמה לנו בקולקציית הפשתן וענתה על כמה שאלות.
שאלנו:
ממה את מקבלת השראה יומיומית? מהאנשים סביבי וההיסטוריה שלהם. מהמשפחה, מאנשים יוצרים שאני עושה איתם שיתופי פעולה.
איזה חומר מרגש אותך? נייר. בכל דבר שעסקתי בו זו תמיד נקודת ההתחלה. גם היום בעיצוב הסנדלים המודל הראשון נעשה בנייר.
מילת הקסם שלך? נוודת. מגלה ארצות ועולמות.
את סלומה הכרנו כלקוחה. יש בה משהוא מיוחד, אצילי, יופי של פעם…ואישיות כובשת. איזה נון- שאלנט טבעי באופן בו הבגדים ״מונחים״ עליה. לגמרי האישה של בילונגינג. כשחשבנו עם איזה סנדלים אנחנו רוצים לצלם את הבגדים על כל הנשים שצולמו, הבחירה במותג שלה הייתה טבעית ומדויקת.
איך הרגשת בבגדים שהצטלמת איתם? הרגשתי מאד נעים ונוח. אני מאד מעריכה ואוהבת חומרים טבעיים במיוחד אם הבגדים טעונים באיזו איכות ורפרנס של סיפור וזיכרון.
