לפני שבוע ירדה התערוכה שלקחנו בה חלק ״מחווה לכדור הארץ- הגירסא הישראלית״ שהתקיימה בבית האמנים בתל אביב.

זאת היתה תערוכת עיצוב מקיפה ורב רובדית בהשתתפות עשרות מעצבים ישראלים שמביעים בצורה וחומר את הזוית שלהם בנושא עיצוב בר- קיימא והתייחסות לשמירה על הסביבה והמשאבים של כדור הארץ. 

בשבילנו זאת היתה הזדמנות לצאת מהכפר לעיר הגדולה, לחשוף ולהיחשף לאנשים ומבקרים חדשים שטרם הכירו את הפרוייקט שלנו. את העשייה והמקום. קיבלנו חלל צנוע ויצרנו בו ״שלוחה״ של הסיפור שלנו. בחרנו להציג אובייקטים שכולם עשויים מחומרים קיימים.

המיצב שיצרנו והצגנו מדבר על הפואטיקה שבדברים המיותרים, העזובים, המתכלים, המשתנים. על רנדומליות, על אירכוב, על וויתור, על שימור, על שמירה, על רוממותו של הפשוט. 

על שאריות במרכז הבמה, על צניעות חומרית ורעיונית. על שימוש בשאריות מתהליכי ייצור ויצירה בסטודיו. פירוק והרכבה מתוך ארכיון של חומרים נעזבים.

החומרים אותם פרקנו והרכבנו בין היתר באו מעולמות הנייר; שטיח מפירוק של אריזות קרטון וריקמה עליו. עץ ממוחזר, ברזל בנין, מגשי פח מפירוק כוורות דבורים, שאריות סריגי טקסטיל ועוד..

כמו גם חומרים מן הטבע- שאריות של תהליכי צמיחה וקמילה. שורשים שהתלכדו לתוך טקסטיל.

מעבר לשימוש בחומרים קיימים, כאלה שכבר נעשה בהם שימוש קודם, שנאספו כשאריות לא אטרקטיביות והמיחזור שלהם מנצל חומרים קיימים לעיצוב ויצירת מוצרים חדשים, אנחנו מדברים מבחינתינו על ערך מוסף גדול נוסף; על חומרים שזוכרים. 

 חומרים שנושאים איתם אנרגיה, זיכרון ורפרנס מחיים קודמים, סיפור שלא נדע. יומנים אילמים.

התהליכים של פירוק והרכבה מרתקים אותנו. החיבורים, תרתי משמע, מובילים אותנו בעשייה. בחירות, חיבורים, מחקר אוטוביוגרפי של חומרים. 

השיח שתערוכה כזאת מעוררת חשוב מאין כמוהו. אין זמן יותר רלוונטי מעכשיו לשים פוקוס על הנושא הכל כך אקוטי הזה ולהציף שאלות.

מה זה עיצוב מקיים אותנטי? מהי צרכנות אחראית? איך שומרים על קראפט בעידן וירטואלי והקשר של זה לייצור מקומי ומקיים? מהו slow procces/ living/ making ? תהליכים איטיים ואורגנים שמכבדים את הסביבה.

איך מוצרים שמיוצרים מחומרים טבעיים, באיכות גבוהה ובניראות Timeless תורמים להתנהלות מקיימת?

איך פיתוח סגנון אישי בלבוש ובעיצוב פנים והתנתקות מתכתיבי האופנה הממשטרים והמקרבנים שמניעים את תרבות השפע הגועשת ורוגשת…תומכים בערכי הקיימות. 

שימוש בבגדים/ חפצים/ רהיטים שנוצרו למערכת יחסים ארוכה באיכות ובסגנון יתמכו בעצירת הבולימיה של הייצור האין סופי וברדיפה אחרי הטרנד הנחשק הבא.
 
זה זמן לא רק לחשבון נפש של האנושות איך הגענו למשבר האקלים הזה אלא גם להחלטות פשוטות של כל אחד מאיתנו במה לבחור להכניס לחיינו ומה למרות האטרקטיביות שלו ישאר מחוץ למעגל קיומנו. חלק מזה הוא גם לחקור מאיפה דברים הגיעו אלינו, מי ייצר אותם, איזה דרך עברו…, חומרים, איכות… אתם יודעים. אחד הכיוונים המייטיבים הוא לחשוב לוקאלי , לחשוב איכות לטווח ארוך.

ואז נכנסה לסטודיו סמדר לוי – שואף. אחרי תקופה ארוכה מאד ( קורונה, לידה, ועוד…) של חיזור הדדי ותחושת פוטנציאל של חיבור, זה קרה.
זאת היתה התאהבות. כאילו במבט הראשוני של שתינו נאספו כל כך הרבה הבנות, הסכמות, תובנות. מרגש לראות את בילונגינג דרך העיניים שלה. להבין שהיא רואה ומפנימה כל שיכבה פיזית ומטפורית וכל חוט פרום מתורגם אצלה להלך רוח, לרגש, לתחושות.

סמדר היא סוכנת של ׳אָמָּנוּת הַהֶאָטָה׳ שבמהותה, עוסקת בהאטת קצב החיים והפיכתם לפשוטים יותר.
דרך חיים המלמדת תקשורת חדשה עם הזמן. דרך אשר בסיסה בערכי העצמאות, איכות, קיימות, פשטות ונחת.
נחת היא מושג מאד חמקמק [שלווה, רוגע,מתינות, איטיות] ולא זמין לרובנו בעידן הזה. שופלק, ככה מכירים אותה רובם, חוקרת על עצמה ועל סביבתה את המהות של להתקדם, לזוז, ליצור, ליזום ולהגשים – בפשטות ובנחת. את הדרך הזאת היא מתרגלת עם יזמים ויוצרים שהיא מלווה ומוציאה לאור.
זה כעשור, היא חוקרת את כרוניקת קבלת ההחלטות האנושיות.

יש לה בארגז הכלים: לימודי עבודה סוציאלית והנחיית קבוצות  – כי עניין אותה ״להעמיק בבעיות חברתיות ובתהליכי התפתחות אנושיים״. היא למדה ועוסקת גם בפוטותרפיה (שיטת טיפול וראי לנפש באמצעות צילומים) “כי אם יש משהו בעולם שדרכו אנחנו יכולים להבין את ההחלטות שלנו, זה האופן בו אנו מתבוננים והפרשנויות שאנו נותנים לכל רגע”.
במשך שנים פעם בה הצורך לשלב בעשייה שלה את שלושת התחומים הקרובים אליה ביותר – הסברה, אסתטיקה ותקשורת בין אישית.  
היא בנתה עבור יזמים ויוצרים מקיימים תהליך וכלים אשר דרכם ובאמצעותם הם חוקרים ומבהירים את המומחיות שלהם ולומדים כיצד להעביר את זה הלאה במערך הסברה ממוקד וכנה המחבר אליהם את חברי הדרך הנכונים.

בימים האחרונים יצא לאור ראיון עומק לאתר הבינלאומי של Fashion Snoops. חברה מדהימה מניו- יורק עם פעילות בינלאומית ענפה שמספקת למיטב המותגים בעולם שירותי אסטרטגיה וקריאטיב, תחזיות עתידיות, מחקר ומגמות תרבותיות וצרכניות, שישפיעו על העתיד של חברות ועסקים.

את הביקור בסטודיו, הראיון והשיחה המפרה עשתה איתי lily Berelovich היזמת, מנהלת, הארט דירקטור והבעלים של FS. הראיון צולם עבור האתר של החברה כחלק מחשיפה ושיתוף שהם עושים עבור לקוחותיהם על creative Influencers שהם מגלים בעולם. 

היה תענוג. קחו 27 דקות וכוס יין/ קפה. הצטרפו אלינו למסע בתוך העולם של בילונגינג.

זה קורה לגמרי פתאום כשהעין תופסת ״רגע״ שמבקש נצח.

הצילומים הללו הם אוסף רגעים ויזואליים או בעצם שניות, מיקרו שניות; קליק אחד מהיר ונרגש על התרחשות שפגשתי.

כל חיי אני צדה כאלו רגעים. תוך כדי היום- יום מבזיקות לי התרחשויות אקראיות, יחסית שוליות ומאד פשוטות שאני מזהה בהן קסם. 

רוב זמן הערות שלי, בעצם, אני בהווית המתנה להיקסם.

כשמזדמן לי מבט על אירוע כזה, כמו ציידת, אני שולפת את החץ/ אופס המצלמה/ האייפון. כבר כמה שנים טובות שזנחתי את מצלמת הריפלקס המשובחת.

בתוך הדינמיקה של החיים, הנגישות והזמינות של האייפון מאפשרת לי ריגעי זן כאלו לעיתים מאד קרובות.

גוף עבודות הצילום רובו תיעוד יומיומי של מהלכים צנועים, רגעיים וחולפים בסטודיו ובמרחבים אחרים. 

תקריבים על התרחשויות והקפאת סיטואציות; מעין יומן של אנקדוטות קצרות המאירות על פרטים לכאורה שוליים. 

היופי הוא של המינורי, הארעי והחבוי. מתבוננת בהלך רוח ‘וואבי סאבי’ (Wabi-Sabi) ומבחינה בדקויות המצויות בסביבה ברגע מאד מסוים, זמני וחולף.

שמה לב להתרחשות עדינה וצנועה; לקורי האור, לסימנים קטנים שנגלים, ניסים ויזואליים וחומריים הנחבאים בדרך כלל מהעין. 

דברים שקורים בשולי ״ההתרחשות החשובה״. הפואטי והנשגב האצורים בתהליכי חיים ובלות.

לגמרי אישי - מתבוננת לאחור 2020

לפני שש שנים בדיוק, כשהתחלפה השנה האזרחית וקיבלנו את פניה של 2015 – נכנסנו לבית בילונגינג.
עוד לא פתחנו לקהל, המקום היה מלא בארגזים, כמה עצים וכאוס חינני ופוטוגני. טרם חוברנו לחשמל, אבל היה בנו צורך עמוק לחגוג, לסמן את הרגע, להכניס אנרגיה של אור, קסם ואופטימיות של התחלה. אז הסתדרנו בלי חשמל והארנו את המקום בנרות. המון נרות, חברים, צוות וחום אנושי נדיר.

קורונה וכל הסיטואציה לא ממש מאפשרים לנו כיום לחגוג איתכם במקום את היותנו פה 6 שנים. אבל לדפדף באלבום התמונות מהרגע ההוא, כדי לקבל פרספקטיבה על התהליך והמסע המהמם שעברנו מאז, מרומם את הלב ומעצים את חדוות העשייה והדרך. (צילמה המוכשרת והשותפה לדרך לירון זנדמן)
יש חוט מקשר בין התחושות של אז; הרמת פרויקט ואי – וודאות לגבי מימושו והצלחתו לבין האקלים של התקופה הנוכחית… תפקוד באי וודאות וערפל סמיך. גם אז, גם כיום יש תשוקה לעבוד עם מה ואיך שיש… .

נשבעתי לעצמי שלא אכתוב סיכומי יומולדת בילונגינג בכלל ועל השנה שחלפה בפרט. אני לא ממש אוהבת לעשות את זה. אני כן אוהבת לעצור רגע ולהתבונן בנקודות זמן מסוימות (אפילו גנריות כמו חילוף שנה, אבל לא רק) באיך ומי אני עכשיו ולסדר לי תובנות בראש. הרי אנחנו משנים ומשתנים כל הזמן והשנה האחרונה הייתה אקסלרטור יוצא דופן לכל כך הרבה דברים.

אז בלי סיכומים, אלא רק מבט לאחור על מערכת היחסים שלי עם 2020 וכמה תובנות:

הסתגלות – זה כמו שריר שצריך לעבוד עליו. בסגר הנוכחי כשסגרנו בפעם השלישית את בילונגינג לקהל שוב, אני כאילו כבר מאומנת ומיודדת עם אי הוודאות. יש לי יותר יכולת לצאת ממצב של קורבנות, תחושת מופקרות, כעס ואין אונים ל״זה מה שקורה עכשיו״ ועם זה נעבוד. קורים ניסים.

מסוגלות – כעסק ומעסיק פתאום הבנתי השנה, בחסות הקורונה, שאני עסק מקומי, קטן ולא חיוני שלא נמצא איכשהו ראוי לקבל תמיכה מהמדינה. לא הצלחנו גם לקבל שום פטור או לפחות הנחה בשכר דירה וגם… וגם, כשהדלת סגורה לקהל.
בואו נגיד שזה שיעור ענק ב״אם אין אני לי מי לי״  ואם שורדים את זה, מרוויחים גאווה גדולה ותחושת מסוגלות לא קטנה.

הסתגרות – היה גם משהוא מאד חיובי בהתכנסות. ההסתגרות הזאת שנכפתה עלינו. לפעמים דווקא כשהמרחבים מצטמצמים, נולדות אפשרויות שהיו מתחת לאף ובעצם הבטנו מעליהן לעבר אופקים נחשקים ורחוקים.
ה״צמצום״ הזה אפשר לי להבחין באופן יותר בהיר בין עיקר וטפל, בין דחוף לפחות… בין מה עכשיו ומה אחר-כך, ומה כבר לא. בין מה ״חייבים״ לבין מה ״רק אם אפשר״.
בעיקר אפשר לי לשהות יותר זמן איכות על רעיונות, כשאני פחות מוסכת ומוסטת מנרטיב היום יום. במילא אי אפשר לעשות כל כך הרבה דברים שרציתי, תכננתי, התכוונתי, התכוננתי. אפשר היה להיות, לשהות ולראות דברים באופן חדש ומאוורר. אכן לא מעט פרויקטים חדשים נולדו והם כבר בדרך לקראת מימוש וחשיפה.

לשחק עם הקלפים – לכל אחד מאיתנו יש ערימת קלפים. ״נכסים״ שהם לוואי דווקא רכוש פיזי. לפעמים יש קלפים זנוחים בתחתית הערימה או כאלה שרק אירוע מכונן כמו המגפה ששיבשה את כל הסדרים, חושפת אותם לפנינו. השנה למדתי לשחק באופן אחר ויותר מלא ומתגמל עם ״ הקלפים״ שאספתי. ובפחות מטפורה; התבוננתי סביבי ובחרתי ליזום או להיענות, להיעזר או לתמוך, לייצר הזדמנויות וסיכויים. להשתמש באופן יותר מדויק במה שכבר יש, מה שכבר קיים אצלי בערימה.

אנשים, ערכים וקהילה – התקופה הזאת חיזקה לי את הערכים שלי. צרכנות אחראית, צריכה מבעלי מקצוע ועסקים מקומיים, חיבור לחומרים מהטבע ושמירה על משאבי הטבע ועוד…חזרה לאיטי, לעבודת היד, מיוחד וחד- פעמי- לאיכות שנועדה להישאר. קיימות ולוקאליות שכרוכות זו בזו. העצימה גם את האמונות שלי, את תחושת ״מי הקהילה שאליה אני מעוניינת להשתייך” בכל תחום. התקופה הזאת שחררה אצל רובנו גם המון טוב לב, נתינה, תמיכה, אחווה סביב הקשיים, אבל גם סביב רעיונות חדשים ושיתופי פעולה מפתיעים וחיבורים לא צפויים. לגמרי מרגישה הודיה לחיבורים האלה בחסות השנה המטורללת הזאת לכאורה.
להגיד ׳כן׳ למה שקורה ולמה שלא קורה.

נשימה – מודה שלמדתי השנה לנשום יותר טוב. כן…כן. עם כל הבהלה שהתפזרה עלינו מכל עבר. תמיד אפשר לסמוך על הנשימה. שיעור מעשי בבודהיזם ; יש את עכשיו. רק את עכשיו. 

תוכניות חומש (והיו לי כאלה….) זה “SO MUCH LAST YEAR” תרגילים בגמישות מחשבתית ונשימה שמחזירה אותנו כל פעם למרכז, הם כלים ומיומנויות רלוונטיות  מתמיד.

יצירה – הדבר החמקמק הזה שנקרא יצירתיות ויצירה נתקל בתנאי מימוש מחמירים השנה. אז מה אם יש לי רעיון עכשיו? הכל סגור והצוות בחל״ת וכו’ וכו’. אבל דווקא אולי בגלל המגבלות והקשיים החיצוניים היצירה מוצאת נתיבים ואפיקים אחרים. שוב המוטיב של לעבוד עם מה שיש, עם מה שקורה עכשיו, עם מה שקיים … ואז מתגלים פתרונות, רעיונות וכיוונים זוהרים ומפתיעים שלולא הקשיים לא היו נולדים.

סולידריות, שותפות ומסירות – יש משהו בפגיעות שנחשפת שמייצרת מצע שונה של תקשורת, יחד למען, מחויבות, נאמנות, … ועוד… .

במילים אחרות; אני מרגישה בהקשר של בילונגינג שעם ההנחיות וההנחתות של ״יש סגר״ כבר ״אין סגר״. הצוות יוצא לחל״ת. אופס אני לבד. הצוות חוזר מחל״ת אבל העבודה במתכונת שונה, אופס שוב סגר. שוב לבד, ובעלי המלאכה גם הם בסרט הישרדות משל עצמם… ואני מרגישה אחריות לחיים הכלכליים של אחרים. הפגיעות והחשיפה של כל אחד במרקם המשותף הזה מחזק את הערבות ההדדית, מגבש את המשמעות של עבודת צוות ותלות הדדית, את התקשורת הטובה, את הכוונה לצאת מחוזקים, את האהבה. כן האהבה.

בית נהיה בית כשיש לו שטיחים. ״התפקיד״ בין היתר, של שטיחים הוא לסמן ולהנכיח טריטוריות בתוך החלל, לשפר אקוסטיקה, להוסיף חום ואווירה ובמקרה של שטיחים שבטיים גם לשמר מסורת, לייצר קשר עם העבר ולכבד מורשת של מלאכות- יד.

השטיחים הנדירים האלו שרובם נעשו לפני שבעים- שמונים שנה לערך(old vintage kilim rugs)  . עשויים פשתן או צמר ונארגו באריגת קילים שטוחה על נול אנכי. הם  נעשו בכפרים הרחוקים של חבל יוזגט למרגלות הים השחור וכל התהליך נעשה בעבודת כפיים. אוסף השטיחים בבילונגינג חובק בתוכו שטיחים מצמר ושטיחים מסיבי פשתן.

את השטיחים מפשתן יצרו מזריעת השיחים וגידולם באזור ועד לתוצר הסופי – שטיח. הנשים טוו ידנית את סיבי הפשתן בתהליך בו נשזרים סיבים לכדי חוטים ואז ארגו אותם באהבה לשטיחים לבתיהן. בכל בית היה נול  (loom)  וגודל השטיח תוכנן לפי גודל החדר בבית ולכן אין שטיח דומה לשני במידותיו.

השטיחים הנדירים הללו מצטיינים בחוזק, במשקל קל יחסית ובקלות הקיפול שלהם. בד שנארג מסיבי צמח הפשתן, נחשב לבד איכותי ועמיד מאוד, הודות לסיבים הארוכים.

השטיחים מכובסים ומהוהים באופן מהפנט. כמו יומן אילם, בהיר רך וגולמי שהמון אינפורמציה חבויה בו.TEXTile.  באחדים מהם עם השנים נוספו תיקונים במלאכת רקמה עדינה שהוסיפו אופי ויופי אותנטיים לטקסטורה.

דמיינו את כל המהלך הזה; לגדל מסביב לכפרים את שיחי הפשתן, לקטוף אותם, לנקות, להפריד, למיין … לטוות מהסיבים חוטים, לצבוע בפיגמנטים טבעיים מירקות או צמחים, לגלגל לסלילים/spools ולארוג אותם על נולים יחסית צרים כפנלים ארוכים של אריגים ואז לחבר ביניהם במלאכת מחשבת. כל המהלך הזה מחובר למתנות מהטבע, לידע שעובר בין דורות, לעבודה בקהילה ועוד כל כך הרבה פעולות וערכים שכבר נדיר למצוא. התוצר תמיד מעורר השתאות. לא מאסטרים של אריגה עשו אותם אלא היה מקובל שכל משפחה יצרה וייצרה לעצמה את הטקסטילים.

באותם כפרים יצרו גם שטיחי קילים מצמר כבשים (בני שמונים, תשעים שנה), הם נארגו על נולים מאד קטנים וצרים שהותאמו לנדודים ואיפשרו אריגה בצוותא ועבודה בקהילה. 

אפשר ללמוד מהשטיחים ששרדו, כל כך הרבה על האופן שבו חיו אז בכפרים בהם נוצרו. מכיוון שהיה קר באזור הם יצרו כל שטיח משתי שכבות ומילאו אותו בשיכבה דקה של צמר. במשך חייו של השטיח נוספו עליו טלאים שהוסיפו אופי, יופי וקסם.

מכיוון שהנולים היו קטנים, הם ארגו פאנלים צרים וכל שטיח היה מורכב מארבעה חמישה רצועות שחוברו יחדיו בתך רקמה ליחידה רחבה ואז חוברה לעוד שיכבה זהה ולאחר מכן מולאה בפנים בשאריות צמר מלובד ורק אז סגרו את השטיח עם קפיטונז׳ים שארזו את הכל לכדי שטיח עבה יחסית ומחמם. 

הצבעוניות הטבעית גם היא מיוחדת. בדרך כלל שטיחי קילים נצבעים בצבעים עזים ואילו אלו נשארו בגוונים טבעיים בלבד מה שהופך אותם ליותר נדירים גם כן. מבחינתנו השטיחים הללו מעבר להיותם פונקציה הם מסמך טקסטיל מרגש ויומן אילם שמספר סיפור.

שכבות - חומרים - זיכרון - בית טמפלרי

מאותם פרויקטים ששואבים אותך לסיפורים של המבנה, של החומרים, השכבות… של המשפחה. ניגשתי לפרויקט הזה בעדינות והתרגשות. לכבד את העבר ובמקביל ליצור אכסניה מותאמת לחיים של עכשיו. מחויבות טוטאלית, ניואנסים של פונקציות ורגש, שבילים חדשים, להכניס אור, אויר… בית.

זהו פרויקט שימור של בית טמפלרי בצפון. נקנה כחורבה לא ממש אטרקטיבית, אבל עם פוטנציאל של קסם. נטוע במושבה בצפון הארץ.
זה היה מסע. בית שהיה נטוש שנים רבות מאד. כשנבנה לפני מעל 100 שנה ע״י הטמפלרים, פונקציות כמו מקלחות ושירותים לא היו חלק מהבית. כל תפיסת החיים הייתה מאד שונה. מבחוץ הבית עוד נראה יחסית שלם, מבפנים הוא היה מפורק ומפורר.

התהליך היה מרתק. עבדתי עם בעלי מקצוע מדהימים שעוסקים בשחזור ושימור בטכניקות בנייה מסורתיות ובאיכות ללא פשרות (חברת ארכו – שימור ושיחזור). ולקוחות נוכחים ומקסימים במיוחד, שנשאבו לסיפור הבית והשקיעו בו המון אהבה ומשאבים.

התמודדנו עם כל כך הרבה אילוצים של הנדסה, חוקי שימור מחמירים ומקפידים מאד וכורח להיצמד לפתחים ולחזיתות אורגינלים. בתוך כל האילוצים, האתגר היה לתכנן בית נוח, פונקציונלי, מפנק ומואר, שמותאם לימים האלה בהתנהלות אבל ״זוכר״ את כל הסיפורים מהעבר שרשומים בקירותיו. להיצמד לחומרים ולטכניקות בהן ניבנה במקור ולחפש השלמות מפירוקים כדי לשלב בו באופן הומוגני את מה שחסר.

הבית המקורי תוכנן כשתי קומות ומרתף על מטרז׳ זהה. בית קובייה. החלוקה הפנימית בכל הקומות הייתה זהה, במבנה צלב עם ארבעה חדרים ומבואה מחברת. אחד החדרים במרתף שימש כחדר מאגר מים לצורכי המגורים והמשק בעת ההיא. קירות אבן בעובי חצי מטר ופתחים יחסית קטנים. בית מסוגר לתוך עצמו.

בניתי עם בעלי הבית חזון מאד ברור מה הפונקציות הפרקטיות, הרגשיות והאנרגטיות שאנחנו רוצים מהבית “החדש״ שיצמח – תהליך מעצים בפני עצמו שהיווה את ההשראה לתכנון ולביצוע. ההשראה הייתה מהחיים של בני הבית ומהסביבה המיידית, מחיבור עמוק למקום (השטח הנפלא עליו מונח הבית והאזור כולו) כמו מההיסטוריה והערכים; הרעיוניים והחומריים שרצינו לשמר.

שמנו שם הרבה חלומות קטנים כגדולים. טאבון כחלק מהבית, מקלחת בחצר, גינת ירק, בוסתנים, גפנים, סדנת מלאכות ועוד… . התמקדתי בנקודות המבט מכל אזור וחלל לכל טריטוריה. מה רואים? מה פוגשים במעברים? איך אוכלים? איך נחים? האם השבילים של הבית תואמים את שבילי הפעולה והכוונה? איך מייצרים עיצוב מאד חומרי, גולמי, נזירי משהו ובמקביל חם ועוטף וכמובן על-זמני.

העבודה על הבית הפיזי כמו על הבית הפנימי, הרגשי, נעשתה במקביל.

זאת הייתה עבודה של פירוק, הרכבה וחשיפת שכבות. כל פירור במבנה טופל תרתי משמע. בתהליך נחשפו הרבה מהשכבות הקדומות של הבית המקורי, אשר העידו על החיים שהיו בו. הרבה החלטות נלקחו תוך כדי התהליך; נגלו הפתעות כמו גם אילוצים ונידרש היה להגיב בשטח.

עבדנו עם טיח סיד מסורתי, אבנים מקוריות, נגרות אומן, רסטורציה של פירזול, שיחזור כל מה שניתן להציל והחזרתו למבנה. אבן אבן טופלה ולא באופן מטאפורי. עבודת התכנון והביצוע הייתה מעשה מרכבה.

איך במבנה שבנוי בפנים כמו צלב ניתן לייצר עוד טריטוריות כמו חדרי רחצה, חדרי שירותים, אחסון, מטבח רחב ידיים וכו’ מבלי להזיז קירות?

שיחקה לטובתנו האפשרות להוסיף בחזית האחורית סטריפ מאד צר של בנייה חדשה עם חלונות בלגיים גדולים. הבית היה מאד סגור, חשוך ו״גברי״ ואחד האתגרים המרכזיים היה להכניס אור ולהקליל את האווירה בו.

הזכות לבנות את החלק מחדש נשענה על תוספת של בנייה מאוחרת שעשו במבנה, כמה עשרות שנים לפני כן. התוספת הזאת, בקומה הראשונה, מהווה המשך לסלון – עם סיפרייה ופינת כתיבה ובצד השני אזור טאבון מסורתי בצמוד למטבח, במרכז המעבר והיציאה לפרגולה.

״הנס״ הזה איפשר להכניס הביתה המון תאורה טבעית מדרום ולייצר טריטוריות חשובות. בקומה העליונה השתמשתי בתוספת כדי לאפשר אזור רחצה, שירותים ומקום לארונות חדר ההורים.

הקיר החשוף שבגב המיטה הוא קיר מקורי. החומרים בחדר השינה הם עץ אבן וטיח בלבד, כדי להעניק אווירה שלווה ואינטימית.

בקומה העליונה ממוקמים גם שלושת חדרי הילדים. הריצוף הוא בלטות מצוירות מקוריות שמצאנו באזורים שונים אחרים של הבית, פרקנו והרכבנו מחדש ל”שטיחים חדשים”.

השתמשנו בכל דבר במבנה, כולל פתחים מיותרים שהפכנו לנישות.

אחד החלומות ברשימת ה “wish list” היה ה Mud Room (חדר בוץ). אני קוראת לזה ״החדר המאפשר״. יצרנו כניסה משנית מצד שמאל של הבית לבני המשפחה (הפכנו  חלון קיים לדלת) עם מעבר ממנו למבואה או למטבח.

החדר משמש לכביסה, לאיחסון, למיחזור ולבלגן חינני- לכל הפונקציות שבית מתפקד זקוק להן כדי לאפשר שקט באזורים האחרים. את המשטחים יצרנו משאריות של לוחות עץ מקוריות שנשארו מפירוק התקרה.

המטבח הוא מרכז החיים בבית. לפה מגיעים הירקות מהגינה האורגנית. פה לשים את הבצק לפיצות בטאבון.  מטבח נדיב, מואר, מזמין, מפנק. עשוי מחומרים טבעיים ובסיסיים. המטבח הוא גם צומת שממנו מתפצלים לסלון, למבואה הראשית או ל״וורנדה״.

המגרש מחולק לאזורים שונים. גינת ירק אורגנית ופורה שהירקות בה מתחלפים עם העונות והיא פרויקט משפחתי. אזור הגפנים, אזור בוסתני עצי הפרי עם הערסלים ובור המדורה. 

צמחי התבלין בקרבת המטבח, היסמינים והוורדים בחזית, הוויסטריה והלוונדר בחלק האחורי. סביב המרפסת בנינו טרסות שיקיפו ויעטפו את המבנה.

המקלחת חוץ והקומפוסטר צמודים למבנה הנוסף שיושב בסמוך למרפסת האחורית של הבית המרכזי.

על המגרש הייתה מונחת ערימת אבנים וחצי קיר אחד עומד זכר למבנה נוסף שהיה על השטח. ניצלנו את זכויות הבנייה שהוא איפשר והרמנו מההריסות את הדיר שהוא היה. יצרנו סדנא/ טריטוריה גמישה ומאפשרת לעבודות נגרות, מלאכות, תחביבים, איחסון ושאר פונקציות שהבית המרכזי ״שוחרר״ מהן.

המרתף שופץ כיחידה נפרדת עם כניסה פרטית מהצד הימני של הבית. גם פה הפכנו חלון מקורי לדלת וחפרנו ויצרנו חצר אנגלית כדי לאפשר כניסה.

נעשה פה שימור קפדני ושימוש בטכניקות תדלק באיזורים הרטובים כמו המטבח וחדר הרחצה.

כשניגשים לפרויקט חדש אף פעם אי אפשר באמת לחזות את הרגע שבו בניין נהיה בית.
הדרך פתלתלה, מרגשת, מאתגרת, מעצימה, לא תמיד צפויה. הבית הזה הגיע רחוק… תרתי משמע. (הוא מככב בספר עיצוב בינלאומי ותודה לאורלי רובינזון שראתה את הקסם ולשי אדם שצילם).

הבית שהוא נהיה, הוא ביטוי כנה שמבטא את כל גווני הרגשות של בני המשפחה. המבנה עבר טרנספורמציה פלאית בין החורבה המפוארת שהוא היה – למקום שוקק החיים שהוא עכשיו. 

כמו מתוך שאריות העבר והעזובה נולד הבית החי הזה.

בעולם משתנה וחסר- וודאות, אנחנו נדרשים לדבר גם על sustainable. על התנהלות מקיימת, משמרת, על עיצוב בר- קיימא; להציל את כדור הארץ מהשנים בהם נהגנו בעיוורון וחוסר אחריות ובתשוקה בלתי נשלטת לעוד ועוד ועוד… . כשרובנו (בצד במערבי של הכדור) קורבנות של מהלכים ואינטרסים כלכליים גדולים מאיתנו, שלוחצים על בלוטות החשק והקלות הבלתי נתפסת בה אפשר לייצר בכמויות עצומות (בעיקר בצד המזרחי של הכדור), לרכוש באוביסיות, (זאת לא טעות כתיב) בזול יחסית ולזרוק עוד יותר המון… .  תמונת המצב בעולם האופנה והעיצוב היא של טרנדים מתחלפים במהירות כה רבה, שכשאתם ניגשים לדלפק התשלום בחנות לרכוש מעיל, שולחן או ספה; מוצר/אובייקט שנועד לשמש אתכם להמון המון שנים – הוא עשוי דווקא באיכות ירודה ואופנתי באופן שחינו יסור מהר. בעידן הנוכחי, אנחנו מוקפים במוצרים שעוצבו כך על מנת שנחליף אותם מהר והם נעדרי סיפור ומשמעות לטווח הארוך. 

לחשוב קיימות בעולם המוצרים ועיצוב הפנים זה לתכנן ולעצב מוצר שיהיה long lasting. גם באיכות החומרים ממנו הוא עשוי (ולכן רצוי מחומרים שיודעים להתבגר באצילות וחן), גם בתהליכי הייצור ובמקביל בסגנון ובשפה עיצובית. כזאת שתדבר מעל לטרנד, מעל לגחמה החולפת. משהו לא רק להתאהב ולהחליף אלא לאהוב ולשמור. זו היא חלק מהאחריות שהמעצבים היום צריכים לקחת, זו העמדה שתתמוך בעשייה מקיימת. העולם התרגל לייצר דברים לטווחי זמן מאד מאוד קצרים מלכתחילה בכוונה והתכוונות מודעת; כדי שניקנה יותר, נשתמש פחות ונזרוק המון. ככה הכלכלה עובדת היום.

צריך לשנות את הכוונה. להחזיר בעצם את התודעה הישנה שהייתה לנו על איכות, כמות ו ownership של חפצים. להתעמק ולשאול מה הוא עיצוב מנומק? הרי יש יותר מידי מהכל. אין צורך אמיתי בכל כך הרבה סוגים של אותו הדבר אלא אם כן הורגלנו למאוס מהר ותמיד להתרגש מהדבר החדש הבא… . זו סוג של התמכרות, כמו חור שצריך למלא.

קיימות זה גם לבחור להשתמש בחומרים קיימים, כאלה שהם כבר פה. חומרים שהם ״פסולת״ של תהליכים שבדרך כלל היו נזרקים כבלתי ניתנים למימוש ושימוש. חומרים מפירוקים של אובייקטים שסיימו את תפקודם.

למשל כאלו שהיו מוצרים בעולם תוכן אחד ועכשיו יכולים להיות גלם מצוין לעולם תוכן חדש. יש כל כך הרבה חומרים קיימים – already exist. זה לחסוך בכריתת עצים, זה לחסוך בייצור טקסטיל ועוד ועוד… . יש לכל החומרים האלה קסם רב- ערך מעצם זה שהם “נושאים עליהם״ זיכרונות ופטינה של זמן וסיפור שגם אם לא נדע אותו האנרגיה שלו חבויה בחומר ויש כמובן את ערך המיחזור עצמו.

גישה מקיימת זה לעבוד עם טבעו של הטבע ולא רק לנצל אותו לתועלתנו. זה גם האופן שבו אנחנו לא פוגעים באיזון האקולוגי. למשל, אם גידלנו משהוא אנחנו מנצלים אותו עד תום ולא מייצרים עוד זבל רב. אם מגדלים במבוק לדוגמא ומשתמשים בו לתעשיית הבנייה והרהיטים ומהשאריות לתעשיית אריזה ומהשאריות לתעשיית הכלים ומהשאריות לתעשיית הטקסטיל ומהשאריות לתעשיית המזון… וכך מעגל שלם של תוצרים – זו חשיבה מקיימת. 

בין העקרונות של קיימות זה ייצור שלא תלוי בכימיקלים מזהמים ומעדיף חומרים טבעיים גם לתהליכי העשייה והייצור. כמובן שימוש ומיחדוש של רהיטים וחפצים ישנים.

קיימות זה גם לחשוב כמה שיותר צרכנות ועשייה מקומית Localism .יש המון מוצרים שעומדים בעקרונות הקיימות עד לשלב השינוע. מה המשמעות בעצם של שימוש במוצר שעשוי מחומרים צמחיים מתכלים אם כדי להשתמש בו הוא חצה ימים ויבשות? או במהלך הייצור שלו השתמשו בהמון מים? או האנשים שייצרו אותו חיים בעוני בלתי נתפס?? הדגש צריך להיות לא רק על פוטנציאל המיחזור אלא גם על שאר המעגל. 

מטבע הדברים חשיבה על עיצוב מקיים היא שימוש בעיקר בחומרים מתכלים שרובם טבעיים.

טכניקות קראפט ועבודות מלאכה ״פשוטות״ מסייעות לייצור מקיים. לבחור בעבודת- יד זה לבחור ברגש, לבחור בשימור תרבות ומלאכה. הרבה מהפעולות של קדרים, אורגים, סורגים, מגלפים, רוקמים ועוד… הן מעשה רפטטיבי. פעולה שמכניסה למצב מדיטטיבי ל Flow המיוחל. 

״כזה שמפגיש אותנו עם תחושת החיות הבסיסית שבתוכנו״  אומר הפסיכולוג המפורסם  וכותב הספר The  Flow מיהַאי צִ’יקסֶנְטְמִיהַאיִי (בהונגרית Csíkszentmihályi Mihál). על פי עקרון הזרימה; זה המצב שבו אנשים שקועים כל-כך בפעילות עד שלשום דבר אחר אין חשיבות בעיניהם. החוויה עצמה מהנה כל-כך והאנרגיה הזאת שקיימת ביד האנושית מועברת לאובייקט הפונקציונלי או קישוטי או אמנותי שרכשנו. 

בעידן המגע היומיומי במסכים, יש משהוא עמוק ומרגש בשימוש בחפצים שנעשו בהתכוונות, כשכל אחד שונה ולו במעט מהאחר בסדרה.

בייצור סדרות קטנות, מכורח היותן בעבודת- יד, גם השמירה על עקרונות אתיים קלה יותר. הצרכן יתחבר לאובייקט באופן יותר אישי ורגשי. האנרגיה של האובייקט היא זאת שתשאיר אותנו עם חפצים שנועדו לטווח ארוך מעבר להתאהבות וגחמה קצרצרה. זו היא שותפות וקשר סמוי בין העוסקים במלאכה לבין הרוכשים את המוצר.

השמירה על איכות הסביבה הצליחה לפלס דרכה מהשוליים אל סדר היום של תאגידים כמו של האינדבידואל…. בארגונים וחברות יש חשיבה מחדש על תהליכי העבודה, על חומרים וניסיון למצוא פתרונות ידידותיים יותר לסביבה.

בזמן האחרון, לשמחתנו, יש תחושה שדברים בקצוות משתנים. יש כמיהה לשינוי הרגלים, לערוך את הדרך בה אנחנו צורכים חפצים חדשים לחיינו. בבילונגינג אנחנו נהנים לאחרונה מתגובות מרעננות ומשמעותיות והתעניינות אמיתית לגבי התהליכים שבהם נעשים מוצרים, היכן ואיך נוצרו, מקור החומרים… הסיפור שלהם. גם הצרכנים וגם העושים במלאכה במאמץ לחזור לאיטי, לעבודת- היד, למיוחד וחד- פעמי, לאיכות שנועדה להישאר לזמן משמעותי.

בילונגינג שמה דגש על שימור מלאכות craft מסורתיות, שימור ידע ועבודה עם בעלי מלאכה מקומיים, תשומת לב ניכרת להיטיב עם הסביבה ולאג‘נדה ירוקה. מלבד אוספים של Be Longing Found, המוצרים מתוכננים ומעוצבים ובמידה רבה גם מיוצרים על ידי הצוות. הכל מיוצר בארץ – מפרנסים בעלי מקצוע וידע מקומיים. משתמשים ומנצלים חומרי גלם ממה שכבר יש, מהקיים. עובדים בקשב עם עונות השנה.

עושים שימוש רב בחומרי גלם שמקורם בפירוקים – מה שכבר יש בנמצא; עובדים עם חומרים שנושאים רפרנס משימוש קודם, ״חומרים זוכרים״, בתהליך של פירוק והרכבה לתוצרים חדשים. תשומת לב ניכרת מופנית כדי להיטיב עם הקיים.

אחריות אמיתית לסביבה וחשיבה ירוקה כנה היא לא רק לעבוד עם חומרים קיימים, אלא גם להשקיע במוצרים איכותיים מאד שילוו אותנו הרבה זמן. יש לנו אחריות כמעצבים לעצב ולייצר דברים לאורך זמן, לא רק ברמת האיכות של החומרים והגימור אלא גם בהתנהלות מעל הטרנד. את עיצוב הספה שלנו למשל, אנחנו לא מחליפים. זו אותה הספה – קווים נקיים, מראה מרושל מעט, מיוצרת בבד פשתן מעורב בכותנה; מעולה, נוחה, מכילה, כזאת שמאפשרת שיחות מצוינות, מנוחה, בהייה. אפשר היה להחליף עיצוב של ספה כל עונה, אבל בחרנו להישאר נאמנים למוצר מוצלח.

כל המוצרים שלנו נעשים בארץ (מלבד אוספי Be Longing Found). לא מספיק מדברים על הכחול-לבן הזה. על לפרנס בעלי מקצוע מקומיים. על עסקים שבוחרים למרות האתגר המורכב הזה, לעבוד ולייצר פה. רבים מהמוצרים שלנו הם רב-תהליכיים. פה נבנה אב-הטיפוס ואז הם יוצאים לבעלי מלאכה שונים, וחוזרים הנה לגימור. אנחנו במודעות לוקאלית מכל הסיבות הנכונות והלקוחות שלנו מעריכים ושותפים לערכים אלה.

פשטות - איכות - שייכות - בית

מרגש במיוחד לצלם את הבית הזה מכיוון שעשיתי אותו לפני עשרים שנה. כן עשרים…. פרויקט עיצוב פנים הבית בחומרים טבעיים שדייריו ייחלו לשינוי רדיקאלי שידייק להם את המגורים והחיים בו. 

אחד הבתים הראשונים שעיצבתי (עדיין בדיבור הפנימי, לא סגורה על המילה הזאת – עיצוב) והוא דוגמה מצוינת, חיה ואותנטית שמחזקת את ההשקפה שלי על Timeless Design. על חומרים שמשתנים בחן, על לאהוב, על פשטות וצניעות עם איכות ונוחות. על לתכנן ולרהט בית בחומרים טבעיים ובאופן שמרגיש וירגיש רלוונטי גם כשהשנים עוברות, כשהחיים מסביב משתנים והבית נשאר עוגן ומנוף.

בית בעיצוב נקי וטבעי עם חומרים נושמים כמו אבן, עץ, ברזל, טקסטיל, חימר… בגוונים בהירים שמשרים שלווה  ומאפשרים Nesting רגוע. מרושל במידה, הרמוני, מטופל ולא מהוקצע, נינוח ומאפשר.

הרבה פעמים, כשאני מדברת עם לקוחות לקראת פרויקט חדש ומסבירה את התהליך שאנחנו עומדים לעבור ושממנו ״יוולד״ הבית, אני מזכירה את האמן מיכאל אנג׳לו ; אומרים, שכששאלו אותו ״איך אתה עושה פסלים כאלה נפלאים?״  הוא ענה ״אני לא עושה אותם… אני מוצא אותם בתוך האבן. הם כבר קיימים שם בנפלאותם. אני רק, בתהליך רדוקציה, חוצב וגורע מהאבן עד להתגלותם והתגלמותם …״ 

מצטטת את ע׳ בעלת הבית שמדברת על התהליך ההוא שעברנו. “זה היה מסע מרתק וזאת הייתה דרך שאפשרה להביא לידי ביטוי תוכן ומשמעות למה זה הבית שלנו, עבורנו. זה היה להתחבר באופן אחר ועמוק וללכת לאזורי האסתטיקה והיצירה של הנפש פנימה. להתאים, לגשר ולדייק בין הרצונות שלי, שלו ושלנו כמשפחה; בתוך תהליך משותף שחיבר בין הבית מבחוץ לבין הבית הפנימי, הרגשי, מה שמושפע ומשפיע על כל יום ולכל היום…״

מלבד רהיטים מעץ ממוחזר, כלי קרמיקה לבנים בעבודת יד, ספות מבדי פשתן ואובייקטים אחרים של Be Longing  שנוספו לבית במהלך השנים האחרונות – דבר לא השתנה אלא רק התייפה והשתבח עם הזמן. 

בית שעומד במבחן הזמן זה בית שמייצר שקט בנושא התחלופה והצריכה. כלומר, האובייקטים והחפצים שהוא מכיל מוטמעים בו ובנו באופן כזה שאין תשוקה לשנות ולהחליף לעיתים קרובות. הבחירות שנעשו היו מדויקות ואותנטיות וריחפו מעל הטרנדים וכך נוצר חיבור אמיתי לאובייקטים ולחומרים. יש מין נחת כזאת של ״זה הבית״.

הבית הזה הוא מיכל ושיקוף לאישיות הגרים בו, משפחה רבת כישרונות וקסם. הוא מניפסט של האהבות שלהם; השום, היין, הארוחות, שיחי התבלין, עץ הלימון, הציור, המסעות, מלאכות-היד, הלארח… הקירבה לים, הרומנטיקה, הגולמי, החומרים הראשוניים. בית עם המון אוויר ואור. בית שמשרה קסם על אורחיו.

בעידן שמדברים הרבה על עיצוב פנים אקולוגי, עיצוב בר- קיימא, עיצוב מחומרים ממוחזרים, עיצוב לוקאלי, אדריכלות ורנקולרית – נעים להסתכל אחורה בזמן ולפגוש את הערכים האלה בפרויקט וותיק שלא פג קיסמו.

״גם אחרי כל כך הרבה שנים, התחושה היומיומית היא של התרגשות. של התרחבות הנשמה בנשימה למראה היופי, האסטתיקה ותחושת השלווה.״ אומרת ע׳

ומוסיפה “ממש טרנספורמציה לתודעה. זה מרגיש כאילו זה קרה אתמול וכשזה קרה זה הרגיש שכבר היה כאן תמיד….”

זהו בית אותנטי, אינטימי ועוטף. בית שאפשר להשיל בו קליפות. מכיל את הפעולות הכי בסיסיות של המשפחה, כמו גם את החלומות והמאוויים, שנוצרו ונאספו עם השנים.
